Campsite labeled Accueil Vélo with services for cyclists and mountain bikers
Our campsite in Puy-de-Dôme has been labeled “Accueil vélo” since 2024 , it was previously already listed as accommodation for the Grande Traverse du Massif Central en VTT (GTMC). The Accueil Vélo label guarantees quality welcome and services along cycle routes for roaming cyclists.
Itinerant cyclists will be able to find several services adapted to their needs during their stopover at our campsite in Aydat:
- Reception for the night whether in pitch or in adapted accommodation (Lodge, Dôme, Tentenbois...)
- Secure bike shelters , if they do not want to keep their bike with them on the pitch or accommodation.
- Loan of repair equipment (tool kit, patch, inflation, etc.)
- Washer and dryer
- Free cell phone charging station
- Luggage transfer to the next stage , via the mail trunk or taxi
- Emergency grocery store on site (pasta, preserves, sauces, biscuits, compotes, etc.) and/or catering and breakfast (in July and August)
The campsite is located 5km from the GTMC route to the north (Puy de Montjuger or Recoleine) and 3km to the south (Saulzet-le-Froid). Stage sheet on the GTMC website .
The Les Volcans campsite was the first campsite in Puy-de-Dôme to be labeled Accueil Vélo , a sign of our commitment to welcoming cyclists. But we will welcome your feedback following your stay at the campsite in order to further improve this specific welcome.
