A small eco-responsible campsite member of La Via Natura since 2021

Why join La Via Natura?
From the reopening of the campsite in 2020, we wanted to make it a place of sustainable tourism, as ecological as possible and human-sized. In short,
a small eco-responsible campsite where you feel good!
The following year, we wanted to join La Via Natura association which brings together
small campsites (less than 100 pitches), with less than 50% rental and with a strong eco-responsible approach. After applying, we joined the association in 2021. For us, the interest is to belong to a collective of campsite managers, to share our good practices, to
progress together towards more environmentally friendly campsites
and always more convivial... For our campers, it's the opportunity to
discover different campsites from ours but with the same values and the same spirit of small nature campsites!
We can only invite you to discover these beautiful campsites run by great managers who will be delighted to welcome you and show you around their region :-)
And now, for Les Volcans campsite?
By joining Via Natura, we committed to respecting its charter (see below), but above all, it's our desire to go further in our actions. Reduction of water and energy consumption, development of local products at the snack bar, reduction of waste, culture of trust and respect within the campsite... There are many areas for action, and we're taking it one step at a time!
Here is an overview of what we have already implemented at the campsite and upcoming projects. If you have any ideas or inspiration gathered here and there, we are interested. Talk to us about it!
Charter of commitments of La Via Natura campsites
The commitment of members to the VIA NATURA approach is voluntary, it is part of a militant approach of your hosts for the enhancement of its environmental and natural heritage as well as its willingness to share.
It is also part of the manager's approach to create a spirit of respect, quality and comfort on its premises, with a maximum capacity of 120 pitches and where the camping spirit is preserved, at least 60% of the pitches being preserved for tents, caravans and motorhomes.
Our commitments:
- Putting people at the heart of our values and respecting nature.
- Offering you a preserved natural site, where you will be welcomed by the owners and where peace and rest are guaranteed.
- Helping you understand and interpret the environment that welcomes you as well as the cultural components associated with it.
- By offering you wildlife, flora, insects documentation…
- By providing you with equipment, documentation and observation areas
- By sharing our knowledge of this environment
- By informing you of places to visit and observe
- By promoting regular outings to discover nature
- By promoting environmental education
- Inviting you to practice equitable tourism with our local partners
- Participating in sustainable tourism notably by ensuring waste sorting, practicing reasoned consumption of our resources (water, electricity...) and limiting travel.
- Providing our support to associations and events in favor of the environment and sharing.
