Hikes

Departures of hikes from the campsite

Accessible to all, young and old, sporty or not, hiking is one of the best ways to discover the treasures of the Puy de Dôme! Camping Les volcans is particularly well located for all hikers: two long-distance hiking trails run along the campsite:

  • The GR 4 , which crosses the Massif Central
  • The GR 441 , which allows you to go around the Puys chain

You can therefore leave directly from the campsite for a large number of hikes, a real luxury not having to take the car! Ask us for advice at reception.

Many puys are accessible on foot from the campsite for outings of 45 minutes to a day: puy de Combegrasse, puy de la Rodde, puy de Vichatel, puy de la Vache, puy de l'Enfer... For lovers of lakes, it is also possible to reach them by walking or mountain biking: Aydat lake, Servière lake, Guéry lake...
