Campsite with Bike Welcome label and services for cyclists and mountain bikers
Our campsite in the Puy-de-Dôme is labelled "Accueil vélo" since 2024, it was previously already referenced as accommodation for the Grande traversée du massif central en VTT (GTMC). The Accueil Vélo label guarantees a welcome and quality services along the cycling itineraries for cyclists in itinerancy.
Touring cyclists will find several services adapted to their needs during their stay at our campsite in Aydat:
- Nightly reception whether in a pitch or in adapted accommodations (Lodge, Dôme, Tentenbois...)
- Secure bike shelter, s'ils do not want to keep their bike with them on the l'emplacement or accommodation.
- Repair equipment loan (tool kit, patch, inflation...)
- Washing machine and dryer
- Free phone charging station
- Luggage transfer to the next stage, via the postal trunk or taxi
- Convenience store on site (pasta, canned goods, sauces, biscuits, compotes...) and/or catering and breakfast (in July and August)
The campsite is located 5km from the GTMC route to the north (Puy de Montjuger or Recoleine) and 3km to the south (Saulzet-le-Froid). Stage sheet on the GTMC website.
The Les Volcans campsite has été the first campsite of Puy-de-Dôme labelled Accueil Vélo, a sign of our commitment for l'accueil of cyclists. But we will be eager for your feedback d'expérience following à your éstep at the campsite in order to d'améliorer further this welcome spécifique.
