Campsite with Bike Welcome label and services for cyclists and mountain bikers

Our campsite in Puy-de-Dôme has been labelled 'Bike Welcome' since 2024, it was previously already listed as accommodation for the Grande Traversée du Massif Central by mountain bike (GTMC). The Bike Welcome label guarantees quality reception and services along cycle routes for touring cyclists.

Touring cyclists will find several services adapted to their needs during their stay at our campsite in Aydat:

• Overnight stay either on a pitch or in adapted accommodation (Lodge, Dome, Tentenbois...)
• Secure bike storage, if they don't want to keep their bike with them on the pitch or in their accommodation.
• Repair kit loan (tool kit, puncture repair kit, inflation...)
• Washing machine and dryer
• Free phone charging station
• Luggage transfer to the next stage, via postal service or taxi
• Emergency grocery store on site (pasta, canned goods, sauces, biscuits, compotes...) and/or restaurant and breakfast (in July and August)

The campsite is located 5km from the GTMC route to the north (Puy de Montjuger or Recoleine) and 3Km to the south (Saulzet-le-Froid). Stage details on the GTMC website.

Les Volcans campsite was the first campsite in Puy-de-Dôme to be labeled Accueil Vélo, a sign of our commitment to welcoming cyclists. However, we will be interested in your feedback following your stay at the campsite in order to further improve this specific welcome.
