General information and access to the campsite in Aydat

Where is the Les Volcans campsite located?

The Camping Les Volcans is located à Aydat, in Auvergne, in the cœur of the Regional Natural Park of the Volcans d’Auvergne, à 25 minutes from Puy de Dôme and Puy de Sancy. An ideal setting to recharge in full nature, à 25 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand and l'autoroute. Find the map and access instructions to join us.

Is the campsite accessible by train or public transport?

The nearest train station is the one in Clermont-Ferrand (25 km). A bus stop is located near the lake d’Aydat, about 3,5 km from the campsite. There are also several taxis in Aydat.

Can you charge your electric car at the campsite?

Yes, it is possible thanks to a charging station for electric cars (up to 22kwh) and a reinforced socket (3.7kwh). You can charge your electric vehicle autonomously via the application of our partner Recharge+.

What are the opening dates of the campsite?

We welcome you from April to September, throughout the beautiful season. The campsites are accessible from late April onwards.

Bookings, rates and cancellation conditions

Is it possible to book online?

Yes, of course 😊 You can book directly online via our secure reservation site. Write to us or call us for any questions to best prepare your stay in Auvergne.

Is a deposit required when booking?

Yes, a 30% deposit is required to confirm your stay.

When should the balance of the stay be paid?

The balance is to be paid 30 days before your arrival.

What happens in case of cancellation?

Our stays are not refundable, but we offer you a cancellation insurance at the time of booking to allow you to book with complete peace of mind.

What are the arrival hours at the campsite?

We welcome you with pleasure between 2 pm and 6 pm, both for pitches and rentals.

What time should we check out of the site or rental?

Departure is before noon for plots, and before 10am for rentals, to give us time to prepare for the next guests.

Accommodation and facilities at Camping Les Volcans (Auvergne)

What types of accommodations do you offer?

We offer plots for tents, caravans and motorhomes, plots with private sanitary facilitiess, as well as mobile homes and unique accommodations (Dome, Pod, Lodge...).

Can you park your car on the campsite?

Yes, it is possible to park your car on your pitch or in front of your rental. And if you prefer not to have your vehicle next to you, an outdoor parking area is also available.

Is there Wi‑Fi in the campsite?

Yes, a Wi‑Fi network is freely accessible throughout the campsite, including on the pitches and in the rentals.

Is electricity included on the pitches?

Electricity is available as an option on most pitches, with a power of 6 amps.

Is the campsite accessible to large motorhomes?

Yes, access is easy up to 8 meters. For longer vehicles, please contact us before arrival or booking.

Do you offer linen or household linen rental?

Yes, you can rent sheets and household linen as an option if you want to travel lighter. The rate is €15 per double bed and €10 per single bed.

Can you bring your pet?

Yes, your companions à four-legged are welcome, including in most rentals, with a small supplément. We accept a maximum of two animals per pitch or rental. We make a vacuum cleaner à disposal to facilitate the cleaén at deépart. You can also consult our article dédié for prepare your séjour with your dog.

Hiking, lakes and activities around the campsite (Volcans d'Auvergne)

Can we go hiking or cycling from the campsite?

Yes, c'est an asset of Les Volcans campsite! Several randonnées in the volcanoes or près lakes are possible directly from the campsite. You will find the détails of the routes of these randonnées on the campsite blog. It is également possible to go vélo de route or VTT from the campsite. We offer several itinéraires à the réception.

Is there a pool at the campsite?

Yes  We have a heated outdoor pool, open from mid-June to end September for the enjoyment of children and adults. Sun loungers and armchairs are at your disposal on the poolside.

Are swim shorts allowed in the pool?

No, for hygiene reasons, only swimming pool swimsuits are allowed (swim shorts are not accepted).

Can we have barbecues at the campsite?

Yes, collective barbecues are at your disposal in a secured area. However, ground fires are prohibited, as are barbecues on the pitches for safety reasons.

Is there a charging station for electric vehicles?

Yes, a charging station is available near the reception. It is a reinforced outlet offering a slow charge.

Is the campsite quiet in the evening?

Yes, we really care about the peaceful atmosphere of the campsite 😊 Silence is requested from 10 PM for everyone's comfort, and complete silence after 11 PM.

Are there shops near the campsite?

Yes  A grocery store is located à 3 km. An Intermarché is à 15 minutes and an Auchan à 20 minutes. We also have a small épicerie of dépannage à the reception.

Is there fresh bread in the morning?

Yes! A bread depot is available every day from June to September. In April and May, the baker comes three times a week.

Is there a pharmacy or doctor nearby?

Yes, a pharmacy and a medical center are located about 3 km away in Aydat.

Children and families

Is the campsite suitable for young children?

Yes, the campsite is perfectly suited for families with children, in a calm and secure setting. Playground, indoor playroom... We have designed the campsite for families with young children!

Do you offer baby equipment?

Yes, we can lend a baby cot and a high chair, by reservation and subject to availability. A baby area is also available in the campsite's sanitary facilities with a bathtub. Two changing tables are at your disposal in the sanitary facilities and the pool toilets.

Are there any activities for children?

Yes, some family activities are offered in July and August: craft activities, visits to the campsite's beehives... It is not a children's club but activities allowing children to discover new worlds.

Activities and environment

Is there a lake or swimming area nearby?

Yes, a lake with supervised swimming is located about 3 km from the campsite - perfect for a family outing.

Is Camping Les Volcans suitable for a relaxing stay?

Yes, it's one of its great strengths 😊 A natural, peaceful, and relaxing setting to unwind fully.

Can you go hiking directly from the campsite?

Yes, several hiking trails start directly from the campsite. They allow you to visit the Auvergne volcanoes directly. Do not hesitate to consult our blog to discover our ideas of walks around the campsite.

Is the campsite committed to an ecological approach?

Yes 😊 Selective sorting, composting, waste reduction, limited nighttime lighting, and eco-friendly cleaning products are part of our commitments.

Groups and events

Do you accept groups or private events?

No, we do not accept groups or events in order to preserve the calm atmosphere of the campsite.
