Campsite near Lake Aydat: swimming and activities

The campsite is less than 5 minutes from Lake Aydat by car, with its large beach, its supervised swimming all summer and its many nautical activities. It is the largest natural lake in Auvergne. By being at the Les Volcans campsite, you are close to the lake without suffering the nuisances (traffic, noise, congestion...)

Aydat Lake beach: a sand beach will delight the little ones and the lawn beach will allow you to spend pleasant moments by the lake. You will also find on site a children's playground and picnic tables.  

Supervised swimming : the water quality of Aydat lake has been recognized for several years through the award of the Blue Flag . The guarantee of being able to take a dip in healthy water! Swimming is supervised in July and August (free entrance).

Nautical activities and equipment rental with Aydat Sailing School

Due to its size and characteristics, Lake Aydat is a great playground for nautical activities. Aydat Sailing School offers many boats for rent, such as pedal boats, catamarans, dinghies, paddles, sailboards, kayaks... It also organizes discovery courses for children during the summer.

How to get to the lake from the campsite? It is possible to reach the lake on foot from the campsite, approximately 3.5 km walk along the paths. The downhill journey is not difficult, but the return can be more tiring. By road, it's about 4km by car or bike.
