The campsite is less than 5 minutes from Lake Aydat by car, with its large beach, supervised swimming all summer and its many water activities. It is the largest natural lake in Auvergne. By being at the Les Volcans campsite you are close to the lake without suffering any nuisances (traffic, noise, traffic jams, etc.)
Lac d'Aydat beach: a sandy beach will delight the little ones and the lawn beach will allow you to spend pleasant moments by the lake. There is also a children's playground and picnic tables on site.
Supervised bathing : the water quality of Lake Aydat has been recognized for several years through the awarding of the Blue Flag . The guarantee of being able to take a dip in healthy water! Swimming is supervised in July and August (free entry).
Due to its size and characteristics, Lake Aydat is a great playground for water sports. The Aydat sailing school offers many boats for hire, such as pedal boats, catamarans, dinghies, paddles, windsurfing boards, kayaks... It also organizes discovery courses for children during the summer.

How to get to the lake from the campsite? It is possible to reach the lake on foot from the campsite, about 3.5 km walk by the paths. Going downhill does not present any difficulties, the return can be more tiring. By road, car or bicycle for about 4km.
