Where to visit a farm and watch cheese making?

At the heart of Auvergne and the famous AOP Saint-Nectaire, Fourme d'Ambert and Bleu d'Auvergne, go and meet the animals and local producers! Children and adults will be able to attend the milking, discover the cheese making and leave with delicious regional specialties. Here are our best addresses within 30 minutes of the campsite to live this unique family experience.

  • The Clos Farm, 10 minutes from the campsite, offers farm tours on Thursdays or Fridays in July and August (by reservation for the rest of the year). You will meet the farm's great team, their dairy cows and discover the making of St-Nectaire on the farm! You can buy St-Nectaire on site.

  • The Gaec de l'Oiseau Farm, 25 minutes from the campsite, is entirely dedicated to visiting and meeting the animals. Open every day from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm. You will be autonomous with information panels that will guide you between the calves, the milking of cows (at the end of the afternoon), pigs, sheep and hens! Children will be delighted to be able to touch lively piglets or curious sheep. Depending on the time of visit, it is also possible to attend the production of St-Nectaire or yogurts. St-Nectaire, farm yogurts, sausages, ham... for sale on site.

  • Bellonte Farm, 20 minutes from the campsite, offers a farm tour, a presentation of its activity via a short film, milking cows, meeting the young calves... A captivating experience for young and old! You can taste and buy St-Nectaire on site, as well as a range of regional products (Cantal, Fourme...).

  • The Lambres Farm, 15 minutes from the campsite, offers guided tours from Monday to Saturday at 5 pm with a presentation of the farm, a glimpse of milking and the opportunity to attend the production of Saint-Nectaire. A shop and tasting area awaits you on site with St-Nectaire and regional products.
