Canoë, canyoning, paddle, windsurf... If you love water activities you will be served around the Les Volcans à Aydat! Small preview of the possibilities around the campground in the Puy-de-Dôme.
Want to go down a river by canoe or kayak?
Two options are available to you depending on the type of river you're looking for:
- On the Allier
for a bit of speed and some rapids. Departure with Auvergne Loisirs
from Pont-du-Chateau or Sainte-Marguerite (about 30 minutes from the campsite). You will discover this tributary of the Loire that is worth the detour. Our advice is to choose the route between Coudes and Ste-Marguerite for the scenery and the rapids! (-10% on canoe rentals thanks to the Pass'Arverne available at the campsite reception)
- On the Sioule
for a peaceful descent in a wild décor. Départ with Aqua Canoé à Ebreuil (55 minutes from the campsite) or Sioule loisirs (1 hour from the campsite). Small plus: possibility to combine your canoe descent with a Via Ferrata or rail bike depending on the location!
Ready for canyoning adventure?
Embark with Auvergne Loisirs with a meeting point at Chambon-sur-Lac (15 min from the campsite, then a little more road to go jusqu'au départ). Then you will have a loaded program: jumps, rappelling descents, slides... between natural pools and waterfalls! The jumps range from 2 à 7 mètres in height.
Are you more of a sail or paddle?
Lake d'Aydat is the largest natural lake in Auvergne and offers a magnificent playground for all types of watercraft: pédalos, paddle, planche à voile, catamaran, optimiste, canoé...
You will definitely find your happiness à l'école de voile(à 3 km from the campsite) which offers several rental options. Want some originality? Try à l'e-foil or wing-foil
to surf on the lake. It is also possible to take part in the courses
organized during l'été for several days. (-10% on activités grâce to Pass'Arverne available à the réception of the campsite)
With all these possibilities less than an hour from the campsite, everyone can find an activity to their liking: children, teenagers as well as parents. Whether to cool off, relax or get a rush of sensations, there is always a good idea to add to the program. And if you hesitate, we are here to advise you at the reception 😉
