Ideal campsite for hikers in Puy-de-Dôme
Want to hike in the puys and lakes of Auvergne? A project for an itinerant hike on one of the GRs in Puy de Dôme? Camping Les Volcans is ideally located on the edge of GR and well-equipped for your accommodation and dining.
At the Les Volcans campsite it is possible to go on a hike directly from the campsite
thanks to the two long-distance hiking trails that run along the campsite: le GR 441
(tour of the volcanic chain) and le GR 4
(crossing of the Central Massif) ! Many other trails are directly accessible towards the surrounding puys
(Puy de la Vache, Puy de Combegrasse, Puy de Vichatel...) or the nearest lakes
(Lake Aydat, Lake Servière, Lake Guéry...).
The itinerant hikers
will be able to spend the night in a tent (see our hiking package) or in one of our accommodations for the night.
To dine, two options: the snack bar
with its menu and its Auvergne specialties (July and August) or the grocery
with essential products.
A laundry
with washing machine and dryer are also available.

thanks to secured lockers with key, free in the restrooms.

Hiking in the Auvergne volcanic chain
Since spring 2020 our campsite has been member of Departmental Hiking Committee of Puy-de-Dôme.
We believe it is essential to support the work of its members who maintain the paths and signage throughout the year for the greatest pleasure of all hikers!
