Spring is the ideal season to discover Auvergne in all its splendor. The campsite opens from Easter holidays to allow you to enjoy the peacefulness of the volcanoes but also the many activities already possible, including visits, hiking, cycling, tree climbing... The Volcans campsite in Aydat opens from the Easter holidays  to allow you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Auvergne volcanoes and all the activities of spring.

We have (at least) 5 good reasons for you to plan your stay during the spring holidays in Auvergne now:

1. Ideal conditions to explore volcanoes, lakes and waterfalls.

In spring, you will be (almost) alone on the hiking trails and can fully enjoy the great outdoors. Calmly admire the landscape from the summit of a crater, contemplate the still snow-capped ridges of Sancy, picnic by the shore of a deserted lake... These experiences are to be had at the beginning of spring to measure their strength! All the more so as the climate is generally mild in April-May with long, beautiful days to boot.

2. All activities are open from the Easter holidays

If you want to vary from hiking, all our partners are open from April onwards: Arboris Forest, Aydat treetop adventure, MTB rental, giant zip lines, summer toboggan... and also cultural visit sites such as the Château de Murol, Michelin Adventure, Lemptégy volcano or Vulcania. You see, you won't have enough time in one week in spring, you'll have to come back ;-)

Even if there's no specific season to enjoy a good Truffade or St-Nectaire fondue

4. Fully comfortable, heated and insulated accommodations

For Easter holidays, we only open our fully equipped accommodations so that you can fully enjoy your stay. Mobile homes, chalet, Pod... They are all heavily insulated and have heaters in every room because the nights can be very chilly in April. Children will also have access to outdoor games (play area, ping-pong, babyfoot, pétanque, football...) but also to our heated indoor game room.

5. Nature comes back to life and offers beautiful encounters

One last good reason to stay in the volcanoes in the spring, but not the least, this awakening of nature is for us a source of wonder every year. The buds that burst, the greenery as far as the eye can see, the flowers that gradually appear... and the animals that give themselves to their heart's content! The calm of spring offers beautiful encounters on short walks or long hikes: flights of birds of prey, first outings of marmots, groups of chamois, or a multitude of small birds in the campsite around your accommodation... These discovery opportunities are everywhere and are worth the trip alone!
