The campsite is becoming an LPO Refuge!
Florian Meyer • March 27, 2021
This marks a new step in our eco-responsible approach: the campsite has officially become a Refuge of the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO). We want to go further in our actions in favor of biodiversity and raising awareness among campers passing through the volcanoes!

They represent the most visible part of this commitment to camping: Nesting boxes have started to be installed in the trees of the park!
We chose to install the first ones away from the pitches in order to spare campers the inconveniences of this proximity while still allowing them to enjoy the birdsong.
provide food and water during the winter by not trimming the hedges in the spring , but in the autumn, so as not to disturb them during the nesting season!
But becoming an LPO Refuge encourages us to go further in protecting biodiversity. That's why we commit, for example, to not using chemical products for the maintenance of the campsite grounds (which we were already doing) or to promoting the establishment of wild fauna and flora, in particular through responsible mowing or the future installation of a beehive near the campsite.
All these actions are first steps for us, leading to others as the seasons progress! To be continued...
